Objective of Program
• To increase food availability in the areas in the lean season to continue to retain the nutritional status in the vulnerable communities through food aids creating jobs in the rural areas as food for work.

 

Program Output 
• Identified and mobilized target beneficiaries to organize into different self-help groups (SHGs).
• Strengthened social empowerment activities.
• Integrated savings and credit activities among SHGs.
• Assisted SHGs to mobilize savings in productive investments for income generation. 
• Provided backstopping support to SHGs for their functioning and democratic governance. 
• Facilitated SHGs to conduct public audit and to keep proper records. 
• Assisted SHGs to federate to form cooperatives or CBO) or Self Help Organizations (SHOs).
• Helped the cooperatives to establish linkage with private, non-government and government service providers and financial institutions for information, resources and services. 
• Coordinated with related service providers.
