Objective of Program
• The overall objective of the Suaahara program is to improve the health and nutrition behaviour of 1000 days women and family members.
Program Output
Improved Household Health and Nutritional Behaviours
• Successfully completed community level training preparatory workshop in 8 centers with 167 participants.
• Successfully completed the 5 days INP community level training for FCHVs and key non-health sector staff. 76 Events with 1143 participants
• Successfully Completed 2 days ward level interaction with 1000 days months and key family members mother decision-makers of 702 wards where 28869 participants.
• Successfully celebrated key life events in 913 were with 5698 participants.
• Successfully completed the food demonstration completed in 2136 events with 31718 people participants
• Successfully celebrated the Global Egg Day in 42 VDCs with 1493 people participants.
• Successfully completed breastfeeding week in 54 VDCs (54 Events with 2710 Participation
• Successfully completed FCHV Day celebration in 39VDCs (39 Events with 743 Participants).
• Successfully completed the ideal families in 34 events with 730 participants.
• Successfully established an integrated nutrition corner at 75 Health Post at Achham
• Successfully completed the 3 days training to LGCDP social mobilization on Bhanchhin Aama radio program to be able to facilitate regular CAC sessions on behaviors highlighted by different episodes of the radio program in 2 events with 58participants (15 DAG VDCs SM with FS) Output 1.2 HH Adopt Essential Hygiene Actions (EHA)
• Successfully completed the 4 event D-WASH-CC review and planning meeting with 115 participants.
• Successfully completed the one event D-WASH-CC workshop to share post ODF strategy plan meeting with 70 participants.
• Successfully Completed the 19-event regularize V-WASH CC review Meeting/workshop in a clean house intensive program with 448 participants.
• Successfully completed the 5 event V-wash-cc to update strategy plan in clean house intensive program with 136 participants.
• Successfully completed the 6-time joint monitoring by V-WASH-CC in the VDC with 123 participants.
• Successfully completed the One-time Joint monitoring by D-WASH-CC team in the Binayak VDC with 17 Participants.
• Successfully completed the 9 event one day war citizens forum workshop to clean house concept orientation with 236 participants.
• Successfully completed the one event school management committee about clean house program with 25 participants.
• Successfully established the wash information management system to 3 VDCs and 1 municipality at Achham.
• Successfully completed the 3-event world water Day (170) 4event sanitation week (204) 74 Event global handwashing day (3868)
• Successfully Completed the 2 day's orientation to Child club on clean school & clean house promotion 4 VDCs and one municipality in 5 events with 149 children participating.
• Successfully recorded the P/A vial Test on 62 vdcs & 1 municipality (346 source)
• Successfully completed the hand washing corner established each 75 health facilities.
• Successfully completed the 3-day TOT on post ODF program management to FS, 4 SM and 4 VDCs Secretary with 47 Participants.
• Successfully completed the total sanitation ward deceleration in the Binayak VDC ward 6 this program on 84 participants.
Women and children increase the use of quality nutrition and health services
• Successfully Completed 1-day community level interaction with community leaders, teachers, traditional healers, influential persons to strengthen ORC service utilization 15 VDC with 50 events with 2118 people participates.
• Successfully Completed 2 day’s orientation to low performing HFOMC / PHC ORC management committee members to strengthen FP/MCH, nutrition services and growth monitoring services in 15 events with 500 people participating.
• Successfully completed providing essential equipment and materials for PHC /ORC service support 15 HP.
• Successfully distributed the Family planning kit to 75 health posts in Achham
Women and their families increase their consumption of diverse and nutritious food
• Successfully completed the consultative meeting with District Agriculture Development Office (DADO), District Livestock Service Office (DLSO) & other stakeholders at DADO hall in 4 events with 56 participants.
• Successfully completed the District Level Training of Trainers (DTOT-6 day) on HFP for field supervisors (PNGO), ASC/LSC staffs the HFP D-TOT at 2 batches with 62 participants.
• Successfully completed VMF training orientation, preparation, planning, and review meeting with FS (2 days planning and review meeting) 1 Event in Mangalsen
• Successfully completed Selection of Potential VMF from Mother Group of 5143 1000 Day in 75 VDC (375 VMF).
• Successfully completed Village Model Farmer (VMF) training of 5 days at 19 events (with 375 participants).
• Successfully completed the Completed HFP preparatory training at 1 batch to 23 FS participated.
• Successfully completed the HFP roll out training in 251 events with 5695 participants.
• Successfully completed the consultative meeting held at the District Agriculture Development Office (DADO) in presence of all the multi stakeholders’ presence (1 event with 38 Participated)
• Successfully completed the seed distribution to household of 1000 Days mother, VMF and FCHV in coordination with DADO/ASC (seed distributed 5742 Rainy Season, 5799 Winter Season and 5868 dry season seed in the Achham district.
• Successfully conducted the distribution of planting materials of Orange fleshed sweet Potato (OFSP) to Village model Farmer and FCHV (61 FCHV and 44 VMF) total of 105 and on of 2100 pieces at the road head.
• Successfully Completed the distribution of Poultry to Household of 1000 Days mother, FCHV and VMF at 58 VDCs,3 Municipality (7 Events with 4912 (1000 days) 535 FCHV and 375 VMF and other with total 5822 Beneficiary and 29,110 chicks distributed.
• Successfully Conducted the technical On-Site Coaching Visit" by DADO/DLSO in supervision area having more HFP related Problems-High poultry mortality, low seed germination, high prevalence of poultry disease, low vegetable production etc. (3 time with DADO & DLSO team).
• Successfully Conducted Technical on-Site Coaching Visit" by ASC/LSC in supervision area having more HFP related Problems-High poultry mortality, low seed germination, high prevalence of poultry disease, low vegetable production etc. (6 times with ASC/ LSC team).
• Successfully completed the 84 HFPB group registrations at DADO/DLSO in Achham.
• Successfully Conducted the 540 HFPB group meeting till to date in the HFP input ward.
Coordination on nutrition between the government and other actors is improved
• Successfully completed the VDC consultative meeting on Suaahara in 75 events with 3653 people participants.
• Successfully Completed 54 VDC Nutrition & Food Security Steering Committee formations where 1670 people participated
• Successfully completed the 64 VNFSSC review meeting with 1222 participants.
• Successfully completed the 1-day orientation to VDC secretary on Suaahara and planning meeting with 50 VDC secretary participated.
• Successfully completed the 15-location display information board for VDCs block grant utilization
