Objective of Project
• To contribute to achieving the overarching objective of RAP III which is to improve income and resilience of poor people in Mid- and Far-Western Nepal.
Project Output
• A total of 305 producers' groups were formed (Vegetable-80, Spice-40, Goat-180 and NTFP-5); their members were predominantly small holders and basic famers;
• The project organized 141 farmers’ field schools, a 12-week program in 3 project districts, which benefited 6,027 famers;
• About 840 famers benefited from 34 business schools, mainly focusing on preparing the business plan, business linkages establishment, value addition and cost-benefit analysis;
• A total of 1,312 specific mobile training events; “offhand” and “on-the-call" basis trainings were organized;
• Eleven revolving funds, constituting 50 members, were established targeting 550 Dalit population in the project areas to support the goat enterprise;
• Corridor-Level Networks (CLN) were formed at each project corridor in Achham, Doti and Bajura districts; established the linkage with district and regional markets;
• Market management committees were formed at 7 local markets to regulate the local market;
