Objective of Program
• Improved short-term food security by providing a safety net for the most vulnerable communities
• Foster improved community resilience through the creation of productive assets and agricultural / livelihood training
Program Output
• 5000 households in Achham were benefitted from food/cash activities and 4000 households in Doti benefitted from cash transfers through mobile banking payment system through Siddhartha bank.
• 10 water storage ponds (masonry or Ferro-cement) were constructed in Doti & 19 water irrigation ponds (masonry or Ferro-cement) were constructed in Achham constructed
• 14 surface irrigation schemes were rehabilitated & 16 new schemes were constructed in Doti
• 46 surface irrigation schemes were rehabilitated & 14 new schemes were constructed in Achham
• 2 multiple water use systems (MUS) were constructed in Doti
• 33 multiple water use systems (MUS) were constructed with Drinking Water Supply Schemes (DWSS) constructed in Achham
• 1 Drinking Water Supply Schemes (DWSS) were constructed in Doti
• 375 ha of command area in Achham and 458.53 Ha of land in Doti brought under new and rehabilitated irrigation systems
• 92 ha of command area was brought under new and rehabilitated irrigation systems in Doti
• 5 embankments in Achham and 2 embankments in Doti were constructed covering 5694 meters of land.
• Plantation work were carried out in 8 places in Achham
• 5 rural road were constructed linking nearby markets in Doti
• 5 micro hydro projects were constructed in collaboration with different agencies in Achham
• 11 leasehold forestry were developed in Doti
• 3 rural road were constructed in Achham
• 100 farmers established kitchen garden for fresh vegetable production in Doti
• 3000 fruit and fodder saplings were supported to Leasehold Forestry and community in Achham
• 90 farmers were facilitated for commercial and off season vegetable production in Doti
• At least 36 leader farmers / resource farmers were developed in the targeted VDCs each in Achham & Doti
• 900 farmers established kitchen garden for fresh vegetable production in Achham
• At least 15 community forest user committee members trained in NTFP management and fire line control within the CF.
