Objective of the Program
• To improve the quality of life of the local people, improve environmental conditions and increase opportunities to rural livelihoods through rational, equitable and sustainable practices of water resources planning and use.
Program Output
• Assist the communities in preparing a water use master plan related to multiple water use projects.
• Ensure the participation/inclusion of women and excluded groups in the planning of community-based projects.
• Assist the communities in developing a realistic concept of the sustainable and equitable use as well as conservation and management of water resources on the basis of the need of the communities and their prioritization
• Develop cooperation mechanisms among the VDC and other partner organizations to implement the projects identified on the basis of the water use master plan.
• 12 water supply schemes and 220 latrines were constructed.
• 4 events for water and sanitation training were conducted with the participation of 426 persons.
