 Objective of Program
•    The overall objective of the Suaahara program is to improve the health and nutrition behaviour of 1000 days women and family members.
 

Program Output     
• 1143 FCHVs and key non-health sector staff trained on INP community-level training. 
• 28869 thousand days mothers and key family members of 702 wards were oriented on the importance of nutrition. 
• Key life events were celebrated with 5698 participants. 
• Integrated nutrition corner was established at 75 health posts in Achham district. 
• Established the WASH information management system for 3 VDCs and 1 municipality at Achham. 
• Established hand washing corner at 75 health facilities.
• Essential equipment and materials were provided for PHC /ORC service support to 15 HP. 
• Distributed the family planning kit to 75 health posts of Achham 
• 375 farmers were trained in nutritious food farming through village model farming (VMF) training. 
• HFP rollout training was organized in 251 events with 5695 participants. 
• Seed distribution to households of 1000 Days mother, VMF, and FCHV in coordination with DADO/ASC (seed distributed 5742 rainy seasons, 5799 winter season, and 5868 dry season seed in the Achham district.
• 29110 chickens were distributed to the HHs of 1000 days mother, FCHVs and VMF. 
• Nutrition & Food Security Steering Committee formation at 54 VDCs. 
• 187 REFLECT sessions with 4584 participants were organized at 15 DAG VDCs. 
• Successfully conducted the distribution of planting materials of Orange fleshed sweet Potato (OFSP) to Village model Farmer and FCHV (61 FCHV and 44 VMF) total of 105 and one of 2100 pieces at the road head.
• To achieve the indicator of a healthy home, awareness of clean energy options, especially on the installation of improved cooking stoves (ICS) was provided to beneficiaries, status of alternative energy in HHs is observed and recorded regularly. 
• Conducted HFP roll-out training in 251 events with 5695 participants
• Reduced the unmet need for family planning (FP) by providing FP counseling and services;
• Improved the survival of mothers and their children by providing effective counseling on healthy timing and spacing of pregnancy as critical for good health and nutrition; 
• Supported home gardening intervention for sustainable livelihood improvement and increased resilience of Disadvantaged Groups (DAGs) living in rural areas.
• Provided technical support and necessary input to households through the district agriculture office.
• Carried out action research on home gardening for validation of action and impact measurement.
• Supported families through agriculture development strategies as well as food and nutrition strategies, SEBAC will contribute homestead production to household-level food and nutrition security.
• Assisted and facilitated as cross-cutting issues in equity inclusion and gender equality through continued focus on DAGs and women in accessing good and public services
• Improved mothers’ knowledge and behaviors on Infant and Young Child Feeding (IYCF) issues and will increase year-round access to nutritious food that will improve the nutritional status of children under two years of age and their mothers;
• Enhanced clean water, sanitation, and hygiene conditions by promotion of household facilities and community sanitation norms and by improving household knowledge and behaviors on proper disposal of feces and washing hands with soap;
• Improved the food security of households by increasing the diversity of foods grown at home and consumption.
