HIV/AIDS Awareness and Radio Listeners' Program

Objective of Program
• To encourage advocacy for reducing discrimination against HIV/AIDS/STDs among the group members.
• To provide consultation to the patients/ families of HIV/AIDS.
• To organize a mass consciousness program for motivating community people so that the rights of patients suffering from HIV/AIDS are ensured.
• To motivate people for bringing a transformation about the harmful behavioral changes regarding HIV/AIDS/STDs and practice safe sexual behaviors.
Program Output
• The radio program regarding HIV/AIDS was listened to by members of 10 radio listeners groups formed in 3 VDCs.
• IEC material procurement and distribution, and establish 10 Radio Listener Groups.
• A total of 10 digital radios were distributed in groups formed with the help of 10 program supporters.
• 58 members of the 10 groups previously formed were also provided training regarding HIV/AIDS at a community level.
• Raise awareness about HIV/AIDS among 53 SEBAC-Nepal staff, district-level advocacy, and networking workshop.
• Basic HIV/AIDS training for community groups.
