Objective of Program
• To assist the rural poor and the marginalized communities of remote areas through intermediate technology promotion to enhance income level of the participating communities through agriculture and other services.
Program Output
Access to Market for Local Agricultural Production
• Hattikot Gravity Ropeway construction was completed benefitting 679 HHs
• Ghughurkot Gravity Ropeway construction was completed benefitting 794 HHs
• Kushkot Babla Improved River Crossing Tuin was constructed benefitting145 HHs
Community Income Generation through Agro-Technology Transfer
• Farmers Exposure Visits including 15 leader farmers and 3 GR sites to Gorkha and Palpa districts were conducted.
Small Irrigation Technology Support
• 5 masonry tanks in Kushkot and Hattikot, 5 completed at Ghughurkot site
• 3 plastic ponds at HAttikot GR site and 2 at Kuskot were completed.
• HDPE pipe, Plastic tanks and Masonry Tanks worth Nrs. 700,000 distributed to farmer groups.
• 53 quintals of potato seeds at 3 GR sites, 13 quintals at Devisthan Ghughurkot site and 100 kgs at Hattikot were distributed.
• 3 plastic tunnels at 3 GR sites were supported, 171 HHs directly benefitted.
Provided various technical and vocational trainings
• Operational Management Training of GR/Tuin was provided to 19 participants from Kushkot and Babla.
• Co-operative Orientation Training was provided to participants from Kushkot, Devisthan, Babla, Hattikot and Ghughurkot.
• Financial management training to 20 participants.
• Advocacy training about Alternative means of Transportation for 20 participnts.
• Off seasonal Vegetable training was provided to 54 participants.
• Market Chain analysis was provided to 18 participants from Kushkot, hattikot, Siddheshwor and Ghughurkot.
