Objective of Program
• Increasing crop production by the Sustainable Soil Management hence improving soil quality and preserving productivity of soil.
• Promoting Legume crops production, vegetable farming management along with improving organic fertilizer (Gothemal) to increase the income of farmers.
• Improve compost fertilizer and gothemal formation.
• Use of organic fertilizers to improve soil management.
• Promote legume farming and vegetable farming to improve Nitrogen content in the soil.
• Capacity building of the leader farmers at community level by developing sustainable soil management SSM.
Program Output
• Identification, demonstration and diffusion of local specific SSM practices and capacity building of leader farmers and group was conducted in Khirsen and Baglekh VDCs of Doti district.
• Capacity building of 8 staffs.
• A total of 150 farmers were benefitted from the training on off season vegetable farming, legume farming, and community level ginger farming.
• A total of 72 people were benefitted by the seasonal and off seasonal vegetable seed support, Drum support for compost preparation, Plastic supported for demonstration in Khirsen and Baglekh VDC.
