Objective of Program
• To support the conflict management by increasing income of the farmers.
• Promote drip irrigation and vegetable farming by the use of Multiple Water Use System.
• Capacity building of the participant farmers to successfully run their business (vegetable farming and goat rearing).
• Increase the capacity of the farmers by developing agricultural service providers.
• Developing relationship between farmers and the service providers for sustainable development.
• Increase the annual income of the participant farmers to NRs. 7000.
• Develop the feeling of business development approach for the vegetable farming and goat rearing business established by the farmers.
Program Output
• Creation of producer groups by involving 90% participants from women members for production and marketing of high value cash crops, mainly seasonal and off-seasonal vegetables, NTFPs and livestock development in partnership with 650 women households.
• Capacity development of women groups for saving credit mobilization.
• Training provided to the Agrovet for improved goat farming.
• Rural livestock health workers were trained and were supported with Burdizzo Castrator.
• Improved Goat training was provided to 168 women farmers.
• Improved Goat were distributed to 10 livestock farming groups formed earlier.
• A total of 20 farmers have been rearing goat.
• Revolving funds were created and circulated.
• Vegetable farming training were provided to the leader farmers.
• A total of 10 mason were trained on Micro irrigation techniques.
• A total of 33 leader farmers were developed and technical services were supported through them.
• A total of 409 women farmers were trained on vegetable farming which have helped improve the farming.
• The farmers of the group were able to earn Rs.5485 per year through farming.
